Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups ice
  • 2 cups chocolate milk
  • 1 cup hot chocolate mix powdered, or 4 packets of Swiss Miss
  • whipped cream optional
  • chocolate shavings or sprinkles, optional

Instructions
 

  • Add ice, chocolate milk, and cocoa mix to a blender.
  • Blend on high for about 1 minute, or until smooth and slushy.
  • Divide the mixture into four glasses.
  • Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings or sprinkles if desired.
  • Serve right away with a straw or spoon.

Notes

Chef Jenn's Tips

  • Full-fat chocolate milk gives it a creamier finish, but any kind will work.
  • If the blender struggles, add a bit more milk to help it along.
  • For deeper flavor, use dark cocoa mix or stir in a little unsweetened cocoa powder.
  • Swirl chocolate syrup inside the glasses for a fun presentation.
