  • Large marshmallows – Use plain marshmallows, not flavored ones.

How To Make Valentine’s Day Marshmallow Pops

Start by assembling the marshmallows. Push three marshmallows onto each lollipop stick or straw, leaving a small space between the marshmallows so they’re easier to dip and decorate.

A bowl of marshmallows, several marshmallows skewered on white sticks, and loose sticks on a white marble surface.

Next, melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second increments, stirring well between each round until the chocolate is smooth. Be careful not to overheat, as chocolate can scorch quickly.

A bowl of melted chocolate, a pile of marshmallows, and two marshmallow sticks coated in chocolate on a white surface.

Hold each stick and dip all three marshmallows into the melted chocolate, gently tapping the stick against the edge of the bowl to remove any excess chocolate. Place the dipped marshmallow pops onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Chocolate-coated marshmallows neatly lined up in a row.

Melt the white and red candy melts in separate microwave-safe bowls. Drizzle the white candy melts over the chocolate-covered marshmallows, then repeat with the red candy melts. Immediately sprinkle the pops with the red heart sprinkles before the coating sets.

Ten chocolate-covered marshmallow sticks topped with red heart-shaped sprinkles and white drizzle, arranged on a white surface with loose marshmallows and candies around them.

Let the marshmallow pops rest on the parchment paper until the chocolate and candy melts are completely set. Once hardened, they’re ready to serve or package.

Chef Jenn’s Tips

  • Tap off the excess chocolate to prevent pooling at the base of the pops.
  • Use a spoon or a piping bag for cleaner drizzle lines.
  • Decorate while the coating is still wet so the sprinkles stick well.

Serving Suggestions

Display these marshmallow pops on a dessert table, wrap them individually as Valentine’s gifts, or arrange them upright in a decorative jar or foam block for a festive presentation. I love serving them with homemade strawberry milk for a sweet and festive pairing.
